Alex Vlamis, CFA founded Kriton Advisors to give small and medium-sized businesses direct access to the same caliber of financial and strategic advice that powers Wall Street's largest institutions.
Alex spent 17+ years working in financial services, most recently as a senior investment banker, where he led structuring, planning, and execution for over $5 billion in capital projects. Earlier in his career, he served as a strategic advisor and consultant to state and local governments, helping design affordable housing programs across the country, and built large-scale financial data systems at a large investment bank.
He holds an MBA with dual concentrations in Quantitative Finance and Financial Instruments & Markets from NYU Stern, a BA in Mathematics from Northeastern University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. What drew him to this work, though, goes much deeper than any degree or designation.
Alex's grandfather immigrated from Greece and built his life around a diner, a small business that fed a community and raised a family. His father carried that entrepreneurial spirit forward as a freelance writer, helping small businesses tell their story. Growing up surrounded by people who bet on themselves, Alex knows firsthand the courage it takes to own and run a business, and how much the right advice at the right moment can change everything. That is why he does this work: to help small business owners reach their potential.
